\nAnd I have something I need
\nTo say!<\/p>\n
I am a women<\/p>\n
Who\u2019s seen twenty-one years of marriage to a loving man.<\/p>\n
We are perfectly typical and average in nearly every way:
\nA cat, a dog, a couple of cars, and
\nTwo really nice kids (With some pretty good grades.)<\/p>\n
We have jobs, a mortgage, grocery lists,
\nAnd other bills too. All of these things are part
\nOf our perfectly typical and average days \u2014just like you!<\/p>\n
The fact is you\u2019d never really know
\nIf I didn\u2019t take this time to stop and say:
\nNone of these things make me straight.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo shame! You were just born that way!\u201d
\nTo this, I agree with all they say.<\/p>\n
But, what if one day you woke up to find something had\u2026<\/p>\n
changed?<\/p>\n
That happened to me around age forty-three.
\nI started flirting on-line with a woman
\nNearly as crazy as me.<\/p>\n
Years have past since then, and I am
\nStill married to a man: have a cat, a dog, a couple cars,
\nAnd two really nice kids (With some pretty good grades).<\/p>\n
We still have jobs, a mortgage, grocery lists,
\nAnd all those other bills too. (Even though
\nI am no longer quite the same.)<\/p>\n
So, do I really have to be born that way?
\nOr, maybe, could it just be ok to suddenly say; \u201cI want to enjoy life
\nAnd love in a richer, more diverse way!\u201d?<\/p>\n
As for my husband,
\nWhat does he say about all of these things?<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, dear woman even now I love you still\u2014 to this very day!<\/p>\n
Where will we go from here?
\nIt\u2019s hard to know, we\u2019ll just make it up along the way.<\/p>\n
I guess it\u2019s too late for you to repent
\nTo save yourself now.
\nBut as they say, who\u2019d want to anyhow?<\/p>\n
