I’ve only been playing around with photography for about a year now. It began when I started messing around with the light on my phones camera. <\/p>\n

I am just starting to really understand the frustrations of a photographer. The more I get those really good accidental shots, the more I want to capture the perfect shots, in all their perfection, but on purpose and not just accidentally. <\/p>\n

But I am still in my personal learning curve and I am still trying to figure it all out. Sometimes that means missing those really special shots, because your a fumbling idiot that doesn’t really know what you’re doing and good luck wasn’t working with you on that day.<\/p>\n

\nThis is one of the best pictures I could get, from one of the finest visual moments I’ve had in my life, but you’d never know it from looking at it. <\/p>\n

It was such a beautiful sunset, with some of the most mystical lighting I had ever seen. I wasn’t the only one that thought so either. There was another car pulled over watching it too. Then a car that nearly clipped my truck (because they were too busy watching this sunset instead of the road) as they drove past. <\/p>\n

And then there was the lady that lived across the street from where I was shooting. She came out and started offering commentary on what I should be aiming my camera at, just to make sure I was really getting the scene right, because it was just one of those visual moments that you don’t get too often. <\/p>\n

Sadly, for a combination of reasons I was not equipped to capture the moment as I would have liked to. It seems that good photography is that same combination of work, experience, persistence, dumb luck and magical moments that life is made up of. I wish this were easier sometimes. But it’s not. I wish every time I put my camera up to my eye I made a perfect picture. But I won’t. But I keep working at it because it’s worth it.<\/p>\n

Maybe some day I’ll have a perfect picture to show you, till then, I hope you will find something worth while and some enjoyment in what I do offer while I am figuring out what I’m doing here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
