{"id":4364,"date":"2012-03-23T10:24:21","date_gmt":"2012-03-23T16:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atalantarising.surly.org\/?p=4364"},"modified":"2012-03-23T14:20:14","modified_gmt":"2012-03-23T20:20:14","slug":"flower-friday-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atalantarising.surly.org\/?p=4364","title":{"rendered":"Flower Friday&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;with a moral.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/60141310@N00\/7008365711\/\" title=\"P1040576 by banjobear, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7255\/7008365711_668777dc0b.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"P1040576\"><\/a><br \/>\nThis beautiful abandoned cemetery is over a century old, it has some of the more artful and finely carved headstones I have seen in a graveyard. <\/p>\n<p>Clearly the people buried in this graveyard had money -at one time.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, it couldn&#8217;t save them.  <\/p>\n<p>They still became lost in the dark woods.<\/p>\n<p>And this is all that is left of where they prayed.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/60141310@N00\/7008493277\/\" title=\"P1040673 by banjobear, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7100\/7008493277_1c79a451f8.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"P1040673\"><\/a><br \/>\nAll the wild uncontainable things they spent their lives trying to control<\/p>\n<p>Have now begun to swallow them whole.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you do, or whether you don&#8217;t,<\/p>\n<p>Think about it not. <\/p>\n<p>Money and power are temporary, fragile and elusive to the grasp.<\/p>\n<p>So pointless to spend the hours of life in search of that. <\/p>\n<p>Courage, honesty, endurance, persistence, fortitude   <\/p>\n<p>It is earned, and built, and forged through life&#8217;s fires and trials,<\/p>\n<p>This is a true wealth meant to last.<\/p>\n<p>Because for all the days a man lives to breath or pray,<\/p>\n<p>These things can&#8217;t be beaten back or taken away.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;with a moral.
