Why I Crossfit #5

Went in feeling all angst-y and blue; came out feeling brand new.

First, fellow gym Amazon SD came in and started working on trying to figure out the handstand push-up with the bands, and does a very nice job.

Then after insisting that she couldn’t get upside down on the rings yet, with only a little encouragement and a few ideas she was doing a couple of nice, skin-the-cat’s.

Then, six powerlifting sets for the press, ending up at 80# on my last set. A WOD (work out of the day) totaling 60 kettlebell swings with the 12k KB, and 120 single jump ropes. Then for the cherry on top of the whole thing was a challenging, thruster Tabata. I was whining going into the Tabata, but I did it anyway -good for me. Now here was me and my Amazon posse’s faces post WOD.

Ok the photo is horrible, I was shaking and quivering all over after that, but look at our smiles. That says it all.
