So shallow were the lines of your name carved in,
time had worn it too thin.
Of the few that remained,
something spoke to me of a sad refrain.
Enchanted by the dewy covered spiders web,
I traced along it’s delicate threads.
Your story; sad to tell.
So many heads did turn away,
desperate not to see your hell.
One ray of light is all I have for you,
a witness still to tell the truth.
Too soon your life was ended from its strife;
33 years, 10 months, 4 days.
It was a handsome price, just to be his wife.
