Two things: I really liked taking this picture and it has nothing to do with the post, but it feels wrong making an entry without a picture now.
I spent some time on the phone with my local governments’ code enforcement office, and yet again, apparently “Everything I Want to Do Is [still] Illegal”.
So here is the curious thing to me, the general public is all fired hot for “local food”, I live in the second or third hottest spot for the new “local food” movement -Wisconsin being top dog- except for the fact they don’t actually want to, you know…live…anywhere nearby the food while it’s being raised.
Seems to me that they only want it as close as the nearest Costco, in neat 20 pound vacuum packed freezer bags.
I’m too depressed about my latest effort being shot down to say anything else other than this: “Mama’s don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys [Well they’re always at home and stuck on the phone, usually with some government wank]”
Excuse me while I go beat my head into a wall some more and consider again taking up Scrap Booking instead.
