Why I Crossfit #4

Upside down, baby! Ring inversions. I learned these only a few weeks ago and was able to hold the inversion from the start; but I have gone through various assistance methods to get up there. Today NO assist, that was all me powered! I held that one for a long time. There were more attractive photos, but I am posting this one because I want to make some points here. I encounter a lot of people who really don’t believe that Crossfit is sane let alone possible for them. That is silly. I promise you, that you are probably fitter than me already. Look, I am a big woman, 200 pounds and I’m not ashamed to say it. I am not ashamed because I don’t let it hold me back. If you want to look and feel like a fit athlete, than you have to start using your body like an athlete would. So start with what you got, and go find someone that can help get you the rest of the way safely. I find Crossfit the best place for that. But I think when people look at all the stuff on youtube and the main Crossfit sites they get intimidated. What you’re seeing are the shit hot people that are interesting to watch cause they are…shit hot. If that is your notion -I have to be super fit and in shape to start Crossfit, than you are really cheating yourself by holding on to that notion. There are all types in a Crossfit gym and they will be there to help you move to the next level. I promise you, it’s worth your time, money and effort.
