It’s back, seemingly out of nowhere it is back. It’s a surprise. You knew it would come, but it still comes as a surprise: one day it’s the same grey and brown and beige barren landscape you’ve been greeting each and every morning for months.
And though your eyes have been looking at it for weeks, they never really saw it. But one day, your mind wakes up too, and you can see again. The light has returned, and green and leaves and flowing water too. Life is everywhere. Your bones hurt less, and your heart is lighter. Your limbs and your mind fill with the same energy that has returned to the trees so they could grow their leafy crowns again.
And I say, It’s all right.
