Yeah, he’s my kid; spent over two hours in peaceful quiet, just chilling with me at the laundromat, while our blankets swooshed away.
I find laundromats very peaceful, it quiets my mind and eases my worries. The hum of the machines, the slosh of the water, the click of the dryers, they all bring my mind into a meditative state and since I am trapped with my chore and it doesn’t do any good to fight it, I just surrender to the moment and the work before me. That’s a good place to be.
